Welcome to Ofqual
Welcome to the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation: Ofqual. We regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland. It is our duty to ensure all learners get the results they deserve and that their qualifications are correctly valued and understood, now and in the future.
We are responsible for regulating National Curriculum assessments (SATs) and for keeping Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) assessments under review, GCSEs, A levels, the Diploma, NVQs and vocational qualifications. We’re not responsible for regulating university degrees – these are covered by the Quality Assurance Agency.
