Ofqual publishes statistical bulletin on Appeals Against Results

Ofqual has today published a statistical bulletin on Appeals Against Results for the GCSE/GCE summer 2013 examination series.

The bulletin covers GCSE and GCE examinations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, provided by the six awarding organisations; AQA, CCEA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and ICAAE. The bulletin can be accessed below.


Notes for Editors

  • No geographic breakdown is published.
  • If a school or college has gone through the enquiries about results process and is dissatisfied with the outcome, it can appeal to the exam board. An appeal can be in relation to one or more candidates’ grades, if they are all thought to be impacted by the same issue.
