Ofqual has today (Friday September 13) published its sixth Annual Qualifications Market Report.
The report provides an overview of the qualifications market and provides a single reference point and factual information about participants in the market.
The purpose of the report is:
- to provide stakeholders with a picture of the qualifications market by bringing together information about the demand side and the supply side of the market;
- to provide a benchmark against which we can provide future market information as the sector moves into a period of very significant reform.
This year’s Annual Qualifications Market Report consists of a main report and two supplementary reports. The main report includes information about the qualifications market in England, Wales and Northern Ireland from a supply side and demand side perspective. It includes:
- On the supply side – trends in the number of recognised awarding organisations and numbers of regulated qualifications
- On the demand side – trends in qualification achievements.
The supplementary reports (‘Qualifications in Schools and School Sixth Forms’ and ‘Further Education and Skills Sector’) include data for England only.
