Welcome to Ofqual

Glenys Stacey - Chief RegulatorI’m glad you’re interested in working with us. Here at Ofqual we’re passionate about high-quality qualifications that lead to better skills and knowledge for students.

As a regulator, the focus of our work is on making sure qualifications and assessment arrangements, both academic and vocational, are of the right standard.

To be successful we need to recruit the right people who can use their expertise to help us regulate and implement changes without undue risk to standards or delivery.

From September 2014 we are changing the way we’re structured in order to strengthen and support our approach. We have a number of exciting roles available that offer candidates the opportunity to be at the heart of shaping what we do, and to ensuring English, Welsh and Northern Irish qualifications are among the best in the world.

We have four directorates:

  • General Qualifications Accountable for leading and delivering our strategy for GCSEs, AS and A Levels.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Business Support  Delivery of regulatory compliance activity and providing business services to help us to achieve our strategic objectives.
  • Strategy, Risk and Research develops our strategy, ensuring a risk-based approach throughout the organisation and that research informs strategic decision making and the maintenance of standards.
  • Vocational Qualifications  Accountable for leading on delivery of our strategy for vocational qualifications. Additionally, this directorate is responsible for setting and enforcing the qualification rules for all types of qualification through legal services.

We want to recruit colleagues who share our passion and are committed to our values of Expertise, Consistency, Transparency, Integrity and Leadership. We want people who are committed to embedding these qualities in everything they do.

If you’re as committed as we are, we’d love to meet you and we look forward to your application.
