Ofqual is the new regulator of qualifications, examinations and tests in England. We ensure that children, young people and adult learners get the results that their work deserves, that standards are maintained and that qualifications count now and in the future. We also make sure that the available qualifications meet the needs of learners and employers. Ours is vital and varied work – and you could help us succeed.
We will offer you 30 days' holiday and 10.5 days’ public holiday, a civil service pension scheme and other benefits.
Ofqual is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all; regardless of ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion/belief or age.
Our recruitment site (http://www.ofqualcareers.com) lists current vacancies at Ofqual. You can also search for jobs and apply on-line.
Ofqual began its interim work on 8 April 2008. Royal assent was given to the Apprenticeship, Skills, Children and Learning Act in November 2009 that establises Ofqual as the regulator of qualifications. Ofqual will formally exist and become accountable to parliament on the 1st April 2010. Until then, we will operate as part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
