Introducing the new regulator of qualifications, exams and tests.

Ofqual, the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator, is the new regulator of qualifications, exams and tests in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.

Ofqual has been established under the Apprenticeship, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and we will commence as a fully independent body, accountable to parliament, on 1 April 2010. In the interim period we will operate as part of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.
